Our Commitment

Responsible production, built into every brief.

At CUE Events we recognize our responsibility to minimize the environmental footprint of our operations and the events we manage.

We are committed to integrating sustainable practices into our event planning, procurement, and execution phases. This policy outlines our standard operating procedures designed to support national sustainability goals, including the Singapore Green Plan 2030, by reducing waste, lowering carbon emissions, and promoting responsible consumption.

Our goal is to make lower-impact choices practical, measurable, and compatible with the demands of exceptional live events.

Our approach

Sustainability that works in the real world of events.

We focus on tangible production decisions that reduce waste, improve accessibility, and support the sustainability story your organisation needs to tell.

  • Paperless App Experience

Replace physical brochures, schedules, and feedback sheets with an in-house event app and dynamic LED signage.

  • Sustainable Stage & Hardware

Use reusable modular staging, energy-optimized LED walls, and low-power stage prompter monitors wherever possible.

  • Eco-Friendly Partner Network

Work with local suppliers, eco-conscious caterers, and green printing partners who share your event commitments.

  • Hybrid Accessibility

Reduce international travel emissions by opening your programme to remote audiences through live feeds and virtual Q&A.

  • Responsible Event Planning

Make sustainability part of the brief from the start, with practical choices that balance experience, budget, and impact.

01 / Venues, mobility & logistics

Start with where we host and how we move.

We believe sustainability begins with the venue choices and movement of people and equipment behind every event.

  • Electric Vehicle (EV) Logistics Fleet

We are actively transitioning our operational fleet to electric vehicles. Our fully electric van supports event logistics, equipment transport, and on-ground operations, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering the carbon footprint of event build-outs.

  • BCA Green Mark Certification

Our standard procurement policy prioritizes event spaces, hotels, and convention centers with a valid Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark certification for stronger energy and water efficiency.

  • Public Transit Accessibility

Selected venues must be highly accessible via public transport, ideally within a 10-minute walk (approximately 800 metres) of an MRT station, to help minimize transport emissions.

  • Active Communication

We actively encourage attendees to use public transportation through pre-event digital communications, helping sustainable travel become part of the attendee journey.

02 / Waste reduction & circularity

Keep materials in use and out of landfill.

Wherever feasible, we work toward zero-waste-to-landfill events through strict material management and simple actions that attendees can take part in.

  • Digital-First Operations

We enforce a strict “no-print” policy for event materials. Agendas, ticketing, speaker bios, and feedback forms are deployed digitally through QR codes, mobile applications, or email.

  • Elimination of Single-Use Plastics

We prohibit single-use plastic water bottles, straws, and plastic food packaging at our events. Water dispensers and water jugs are provided as the default hydration solution.

  • Lanyard and Badge Recycling

Dedicated lanyard recycling bins at venue exits encourage attendees to return used lanyards and plastic badge holders so they can be sanitized, recycled, and repurposed for future events.

03 / Responsible food & beverage

Better menus, less waste, thoughtful service.

Catering is a significant contributor to event carbon footprints, so we work closely with culinary partners to raise the standard from menu planning through service.

  • Low-Carbon Menus

We require catering partners to ensure that a minimum of 50% of the food options provided are plant-forward or vegetarian, significantly reducing the carbon intensity of event meals.

  • Food Rescue Partnerships

We prioritize catering partners with protocols to donate safe, unconsumed food to local charities.

  • Sustainable Tableware

All catering must be served on reusable crockery and glassware. Where disposable items are essential for safety or logistics, they must be 100% commercially compostable.

A practical brief

Start with the decisions that make the biggest difference.

Share your goals early and we can help your team identify the right mix of digital tools, reusable assets, local suppliers, and hybrid access for the programme.

  • Set a paperless attendee journey from registration to feedback
  • Plan reusable staging and energy-conscious technical infrastructure
  • Choose local production and hospitality partners where possible
  • Use hybrid access to extend reach while reducing unnecessary travel
